Importance of giving them the proper upbringing
Raising our children properly is one of the essential duties which has been placed on the shoulders of the parents by Allah the Almighty.
Allah the Almighty said:
Which means: “O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.” (66 – 6)
Also, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.” so everyone of us is responsible for his children and he will be held accountable by Allah the Almighty for them, so let us take our responsibilities and do not give up them for the Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: “It is enough for a person to be considered sinful, that he neglects those whom he is responsible to sustain.”
And do not forget the huge rewards that are waiting for you if you raise your children well and we can mention some of them as follows:
1- The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies all his good deeds come to an end except three: Ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who prays for him.”
2- The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: “Whoever is in charge of (put to test by) these daughters and he accords benevolent treatment towards them, then they will act as a shield for him from the (Hell) Fire.”
3- The Prophet said as well: “Whoever has three daughters and is patient towards them, and feeds them, gives them to drink, and clothes them from his wealth; they will be a shield for him from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”
4- Also, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “A man will be raised in status in Paradise and will say: ‘Where did this come from?’ And it will be said: ‘From your son’s praying for forgiveness for you.”
We ask Allah the Almighty to guide us to the straight path and to protect our children from all evil and make them pious and righteous.
